Everyone knows that Photoshop has powerful functions in photo processing. Many friends who are engaged in digital photo processing have unique tricks to quickly create photo special effects. In fact, as long as you are good at using Photoshop's filters and blending modes, everyone can create similar effects by yourself. Today we will practice quickly creating a dreamy blur effect on photos.

The specific steps are described below.
1. Use Photoshop to open the photo to be processed.
2. Press Ctrl+J to copy a layer. You can also right-click on the background layer and select the "Copy Layer" command from the shortcut menu, as shown in Figure 1.

3. Select the menu command "Filter | Blur | Gaussian Blur", as shown in Figure 2.

4. Set the radius to 4.5 pixels in the Gaussian Blur dialog box, as shown in Figure 3.

5. Change the blending mode of this layer to "Overlay" in the layers panel, as shown in Figure 4.

6. Duplicate the layer again, as shown in Figure 5.

7. Select the "Brush Tool" in the toolbox and make settings in the options bar as shown in Figure 6.

8. Then apply it all over the canvas, and lighten the color wherever it should be lightened, until you get the final effect as shown in Figure 7.
