This example will introduce how to use Photoshop to draw a romantic summer night wallpaper.
1. Select the menu command "File|New" (or press the shortcut key Ctrl+N) to create a new document, set the size to 1024x768 px, and set the resolution to 72 dpi. First we need to use the Rectangle Tool (U) to draw two rectangles, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Next, double-click the blank space to the right of the black layer name at the top of the layer panel to open the layer style dialog box, and then set the gradient overlay options as shown in Figure 2.

3. Click again to set the gradient color in the gradient options as shown in Figure 3.

4. Next apply the gradient layer style to the rectangle of the lower layer, as shown in Figure 4.

5. Now we are going to draw the clouds. Create a new layer, and then select the menu command "Filter>Render>Clouds" (Filter>Render>Clouds). The effect of applying the cloud filter is shown in Figure 7.

6. Select the menu command "Filter>Blur>Box blur" (Filter>Blur>Box blur) to apply box blur to the clouds, as shown in Figure 8.

7. Press the shortcut key Ctrl+M to open the "Curves" dialog box, and make adjustments as shown in Figure 10 to add some contrast to the image.

14. Place the pictures of the couple and the tree into our scene, and adjust the blending options of these layers, as shown in Figure 21, and set the opacity to 100%.

15. Create a new layer and try to draw some stars with the pencil tool, as shown in Figure 23.

16. Select the Ellipse Tool (U) to draw a circle, then hold down the Alt key while dragging the circle to the upper left to copy another circle. Fill the first circle with the color #F9F2AC and rasterize the layer. Keep the layer selected, then hold down the Ctrl key and click the second circle to load the selection. Press the Del key to delete the selection. In this way, the shape of the moon can be obtained.

17. Select all layers and group them into a group. Make a copy of the group and press the shortcut key Ctrl+E to merge all the layers in the group. Freely transform the merged layers and perform vertical mirroring, as shown in Figure 26. Use the Eraser Tool to erase some of the black gradient.
