There is usually a five-pointed star pattern in the custom shapes of PS, but what should we do if we draw it ourselves? I have searched online and there is currently no tutorial on drawing a five-pointed star. So, let's learn how to draw a pentagram using paths. This tutorial helps us how to draw with paths and use rulers and guides
Let’s take a look at the renderings first:

1. Create a document with a width of 600 and a height of 450 with a white background. See Figure 1
2. Use the shortcut key ctrl+r to bring up the ruler, click View - New Reference Line, and set the vertical and horizontal reference lines in the center of the background according to the ruler scale. (The reference line can be moved with the move tool) See Figure 2
3. Use the polygon tool (see Figure 3 for attribute settings) to set the foreground color as long as it is not white. Align the cross with the center of the reference line and pull out the five-pointed star graphic.
See Figure 3 and Figure 4
4. Double-click the path in the path panel to store the path, click OK, and the shape vector mask will appear. See Figure 5
5. Use the pen tool (see Figure 6 for attribute settings) to draw the radius of a corner. See Figure 6 and Figure 7
6. Use the path selection tool to select the path drawn by the pen and click Combine. See Figure 8 and Figure 9
7. Press the shortcut key ctrl+t to perform free transformation, use the move tool to move the center rotation point of the free transformation to the center of the five-pointed star, set the rotation angle of the property bar to 72, press Enter to cancel the free transformation, and press shift+ctrl+alt +t 4 times in a row to copy the radius of 4 corners. See Figure 10, Figure 11, Figure 12
8. Double-click the layer thumbnail to bring up the color dialog box, select red and click OK. See Figure 13
