Figure 1 Comparison of pictures before and after adding eye shadow
STEP1 Execute the [File → Open] command (shortcut key Ctrl+O), open the material picture: "eye shadow.tif", we will see the entire picture as shown in the figure. In this picture, we can clearly see that the heroine's photo is not covered with colorful "eyeshadow" but is a very ordinary digital photo.

STEP2 Create a new "Layer 1", set the foreground color to: orange (R:205, G:130, B:30), select the [Brush Tool] in the toolbox, and draw graphics in the picture as shown. At this point you can see that the girl's eyes in the picture are completely surrounded by yellow parts. The purpose of this treatment is to give the girl's "eye shadow" a base color.

Note: Of course, you can learn from others. If you like red, you can paint a red area for your girlfriend. If you like purple, naturally paint it into purple areas. You can add different colors to your girlfriend as you like.
STEP3 After adding color, we select the new layer in the layers panel. Set the [Layer Blending Mode] of "Layer 1" to: Soft Light. At this time, we can see that the yellow area has been very softly blended with the original color of the eyes, and also reflects the sense of different shades of layers. Isn't it wonderful?

If you are a friend who is using Photoshop for the first time and you are worried about the serious color when applying colors, then I suggest that after setting the "Soft Light" layer blending mode, you can also select the "Opacity" button in the upper right corner of the layer panel. . Customize the layer's opacity by sliding the settings on the adjustment bar. The lower the opacity, the darker the "eyeshadow" in the image. On the contrary, the higher the opacity, the darker the "eyeshadow" color in the image.

The method is very simple, and users can debug it repeatedly until they achieve the effect they are satisfied with.
