When playing with Photoshop, we often get unexpected surprises and achieve unexpected effects. This lattice fluorescent character is an example. The effect is good, but the production is not complicated. It mainly uses Photoshop lattice processing and layer light effect processing. Let's practice it below.
In the first step, after starting Photoshop 6.0, set the foreground color to white and the background color to black. Create a new file, and in the parameter setting panel that pops up, set the file size to 250x60 pixels. Name it cpcw.
The second step is to select the text tool in the toolbox, enter the uppercase CPCW.COM in the workspace, find the option control bar, and select the font Arcade (if you don’t have this, you should also choose other pixelated fonts, such as System, so that To achieve the effect we want), set the text size to 60 points, and use the move tool in the toolbox to adjust the position so that it is centered, as shown in the picture.
The third step is to click the Illuminate Edge command in Stylization under the Filter menu. The program will ask whether to rasterize the text. After confirmation, it will change from a text layer to a normal layer, and then the parameters for Illuminating the Edge will pop up. Settings panel, use the default settings: edge width 2, edge height 6, smoothness 5. Sure. In this way, the basic lattice effect is created.
Step 4: Click the Blending option in the layer style under the layer menu to automatically pop up its parameter setting panel. In the panel, click Drop Shadow. There are many default setting options. We only need to change the blending mode option of the shadow to normal. Click the shadow color setting option next to it. The picker will pop up (Figure 6). Click Only at the bottom of the panel. For web page color, enter 009999 in the sixteen-digit color code box and confirm. Return to the Layer Style panel, then click Inner Shadow, change the shadow color code to 00ffff; click Outer Glow, change the glow color code to 00FFFF; click Inner Glow, and set the glow color code to 009999. The layer style is now created, click OK. The result is as shown below:
The fifth step is to open the layer panel and copy the current layer. Now there are two identical layers. We select the lower layer, click the move tool in the toolbox, and press the down arrow key three times on the keyboard to complete the move. Bit.
At this point, the entire production is completed, and the effect is as shown in the picture.
Tips: The realization of this fluorescent character can be summarized in two points: one is lattice processing; the other is layer light effect processing. When rendering the text, we focus on the color we choose and try to make it produce a fluorescent effect.
