In this article, we use Photoshop’s brush definitions and path strokes to easily draw the zigzag effect. You can also use your imagination to make better patterns.
First, create a new document with 400*400, 72dpi, color mode RGB, and white background. Create a new layer and use the pen tool to draw the following shape.
Then open the Paths panel and execute Load Path as Selection.
Then go to "Edit" -> "Stroke".
Then cancel the selection, press Ctrl key again and click the layer to load the selection, and then execute "Edit" -> "Define Brush Preset".
Then select the brush tool, press F5 to open the brush panel, and set it as follows.
Then select the custom shape tool and draw the following shape.
Then switch to the Path panel and directly execute the "Stroke path with brush" button.
Then click the "Load path as selection" button, and then press Ctrl+D to cancel the selection, thus removing the line in the middle. The effect is as follows:
