Many friends like to put their name, the date of shooting and the name of the work on the photos. This not only protects the personal works, but also uses good-looking fonts to recreate the images. You can also use words to express your own feelings. Voices give images more meaning. So today let’s learn how to “trick” text in Photoshop.
A good-looking font itself is a beautiful design. We once mentioned the production of ring text in the tutorial on making watermarks. In fact, there are many other methods. First of all, go to the font website to download some fonts you like and install them on your computer. They will be much better than the fonts that come with the system.
Open PS, pick a photo you want to process, and we get to work.
1. Select the font tool and enter what you want to write. In the text tool (Figure 1) state, click the "Character" panel, where the various functions of characters have been explained in detail (Figure 2). For example: choosing fonts, spacing between fonts, line spacing, bold, italics, etc. You must practice more and try out all the functions inside.
I won’t explain them one by one here, because today I mainly teach you how to use the built-in functions in PS to make fonts more fun.
2. Regarding font deformation, you only need a small tool, and this “little guy” that is easily overlooked is actually hidden here (Picture 3)!
Although it is small, it is hidden and secretive, but it has great potential (Picture 4). Now let us try how convenient and fun it is! Try the fan-shaped effect, corolla effect, wave effect... amplitude You can adjust and grasp the changes by yourself. Is it fun? With such a small tool, you can twist and "trick" text to look beautiful. It really takes no effort at all (Picture 5).
3. The following is to create effects for the font. It is also very simple, but it can make it more beautiful. Use PS's ready-made gadgets to create text effects, and click "Blending Options" on the right button of the text layer (Figure 6).
4. Create patterns for the text. Use "pattern overlay" to create text effects with different textures. With different text, it will not only look good but also make the photo come alive (Figure 7).
5. This is a photo using the deformation tool and layer overlay function we just taught (Figure 8). Not only does it serve as a signature, it also makes the picture more balanced.
