Let’s take a look at the renderings first:

1. Open the PS executable file - New - Create a new 550X400 pixel blank document.

2. Enter the black text you want to create (it is best to choose a thicker font). Download the font Hanyi Square Overlay Simplified in this tutorial.

3. Right-click on the text layer to rasterize the text (must be rasterized) to turn the vector text into a pixel image.

Press the shortcut key CTRL+T (Free Transform) to transform the text! Achieve the angle and effect we want!

Pay attention to the principle of perspective here!

4. Press CTRL+J to copy the layer to get a copy of the layer! Double-click the layer copy to add layer effects.

Bevel relief (inner bevel, the width of the bevel can be set to 1 or 2 pixels, not too wide)
Color overlay (add the color you need, we use red here)

5 Create a new layer 1 and drag layer 1 below the layer copy.

Merge the layer copy onto layer 1 to get a new layer!

6. Press the shortcut keys Ctrl + Alt + t on the layer to perform copy transformation, and then enter the vertical and horizontal stretch percentage in the toolbar, for example, 101%. 101% and then use the right arrow on the small keyboard to move the position by one to two pixels. Press Enter to confirm the transformation. (Don’t change it too much! Otherwise it will affect the effect)

7. Then press and hold the shortcut keys Ctrl + Alt + Shift without releasing them, and continuously click the "T" key at the same time to quickly copy and move the pattern pixel by pixel, as needed! The more times, the greater the thickness of the three-dimensional effect. We just need to click here 8 times to see if there is a three-dimensional effect!

8. Hide the eye icon in front of the background layer and the original layer first!

Merge all visible layers! and drag it below the original layer.

9. Then use the deformation tool to enlarge the original layer so that it can just cover the surface where we will create the three-dimensional effect.

The renderings obtained after overlaying are as follows:

10. Add effects to this layer: (color overlay or gradient overlay, projection, and pattern filling if necessary, the data is as follows)
Color overlay: You can choose a color that is slightly lighter than the three-dimensional effect color! You can also choose your favorite color!

Projection: Set external projection! The angle is 33, and other data can be adjusted according to the situation.

After adding the layer effect, the three-dimensional character effect is basically completed. Finally, deal with the details!

After making the 3D effect, it is too monotonous and has no new ideas. You can innovate by yourself to make different types of effects from different angles! Let’s add a reflection effect here!
