The focus of this tutorial is to introduce the idea of making three-dimensional characters. If you master it, you can use it flexibly. Not only text but other graphics can also create the same effect!
final effect
1. Write big characters first~~ It’s better to make them bigger first. ~After you finish, reduce some of the characters so that the problems can’t be seen~
2. Then apply layer effects to the word layer: Color Overlay - Gray; Bevel and Embossing: 1-2 pixels wide general embossing (just make the words slightly protruding) ~~
3. Then merge this text layer to a blank layer.
4. The key is here: Ctrl+Alt+T Transform Copy
Adjust deformation
(The key to what it looks like in the end depends on how you adjust this step. Of course, you can adjust it randomly, and there will be some interesting effects - such as the shape of the ice character above),
Generally speaking, the adjustments that are more consistent with the perspective principle are: slightly zoom in (I usually choose 101% or below), slightly move one pixel~ (the effect is better in the oblique direction).
If you have the ability, you can zoom in a little more on the side closer to you, and a little less on the side far away from you~~~ (drag the corners to change freely, and be careful to move less)
Remember, this deformed and copied layer should basically not be separated from the original layer, but should be connected ~
5. Use Ctrl + Alt + Shift + T to repeat the deformation action N times, depending on your thickness requirements~~
6. Merge the copied N layers
7. Shrink the layer so that it looks less flawed. If you set the near and far effects in the fifth step, shrink the far side a little more at this time. It should be based on how normal it looks.
8. Subsequent adjustments include reducing the feeling of layering (you can use special blur and noise reduction filters), rotating and adjusting the angle and adding other effects.
