I have taught private tutorials for many times. I wonder if you are interested in trying a slightly more difficult method? Many friends like to photoshop photos of their children. The children’s clear eyes and innocent smiles are lovable. If you photoshop again, the cute baby will shine like an elf!
Key learning points in this issue: Magnetic Lasso tool, layer styles "Outer Glow" and "Inner Glow".
Step1: Open the photo in PS and copy one layer. (Figure 1)
Step2: Select the "Magnetic Lasso Tool" and roughly outline the child's appearance. (Figure 2)
Tip: When the selection edges of the selected objects are not very precise, the magnetic lasso tool can save us a lot of time.
Step3: Use the shortcut key "Ctrl+J" to copy the selection to a new layer, namely "Layer 1", and then copy layer 1 to "Layer 1 Copy" (Figure 3). These two layers will serve as different Glow mission.
Step4: Let’s first create the glowing effect of the child’s outer contour. Turn off the "eye" in front of the "Layer 1 Copy". Double-click "Layer 1" to open the "Layer Style" panel.
Step5: Select "Outer Glow", set the "Blending Mode" to "Screen", "Glow Color" to "Light Green", "Extend" to "0", "Size" to "21" pixels, others Leave the items at their default settings. We can visually observe that the photo has changed. (Figure 4)
Step6: Select "Inner Glow", set the "Blending Mode" to "Screen", "Glow Color" to "Golden", "Distance" to "40", "Size" to "0", and then click "good". (Figure 5)
Tips: You can set the luminous color according to your own preferences. Grasp one principle: internally emitting colors are lower in brightness than externally emitting colors.
Step7: Then make the child's body glow. Open the "Eye" icon in front of the "Copy of Layer 1" and set the "Background Color" to light yellow. Then, click "Filter" → "Distort" → "Diffuse Light", set "Granularity" to "0", "Glow" to "2", and "Clear Amount" to "5". (Figure 6)
Step8: Change the layer blending mode of "Layer 1 Copy" to "Screen". (Figure 7)
Step9: Since the child is a luminous body, the tree will be affected by the light, so we have to add an outline light to the tree to increase the sense of reality. The production method is the same as making the outer contour light.
Step10: At this point, you can see that there is light around the tree, and we only need the right side of the tree to be affected by the child's light. Therefore, you need to copy "Layer 2", which is the "Tree" layer, to get a "Copy of Layer 2", place it on top of "Layer 2", and eliminate all its layer styles, and you're done. (Figure 8)
Tips: During all operations, the set parameter values can be adjusted according to the needs of the photos you process. This is for reference only. You can debug more to create better effects.
