Photo optimization methods like this are more convenient and simple, and the results are not bad. It is worth recommending. The principle is to use Gaussian blur to blur the spots to make the skin smooth, and then use masks to show the outlines and some areas that need to be clear. The specific method is as follows:
Original picture
Optimized graph:
1. Open the photo you want to optimize, double-click the layer to unlock it, activate the channel panel, see which channel is more pleasing to the eye, and drag that channel to the "Load Selection" button (Figure 1). I chose the blue channel here. In this way, the brighter area in the photo is selected, and then feathered slightly. The feathering radius I used here is 2.
2. Press ctrl+L to open the Levels dialog box and make the selected area a little brighter (Figure 3). (You can also open the Brightness/Contrast dialog box to adjust it. Just make the selected area a little brighter.)
3. Do not cancel the selection, copy the layer, and use Gaussian blur on the top layer, that is, blur the selected area (Figure 4). At this time, MM’s face is much smoother, but the whole picture is a bit blurry (as shown in Figure 5). What should I do? This requires the use of masks, please continue to step 4.
4. Deselect the selection, add a layer mask to the top layer (as shown in Figure 6), then click the brush tool and paint on the outline part of the picture or the areas that need to be clear, such as the edges of the face, eyes, mouth, etc. ( As shown in Figure 7), in this way, the places that should be smooth can be smoothed, and the places that should be clear can be made clear.
You need to pay attention to the type of brush here. It is best to choose a brush with a soft angle.
Then merge the layers down.
