The pattern I made here is the popular comic "Death". Here I will introduce the specific production process. After you learn it, you can design your own pattern. This tutorial will be divided into two parts: pattern production and specific printing process. 1. Preparation. To print T-shirts yourself, you need to prepare the following materials: A: A pure cotton T-shirt. B: Thermal transfer paper (light-colored paper). C: Electric iron, scissors. It is best to have a hot stamping machine. E: Collect picture materials. 2. Pattern production. The author here uses a white T-shirt. First, open a new file in Photoshop, select A4 size, resolution 300, and print mode. It should be noted that the width and height of the A4 size document must be reversed. We need a horizontal version of the document. As shown in Figure 1. The result will be very different! final effect |
Resolution is very important. If you forcefully enlarge the small pictures you create, it will be blurry and affect the printing effect. Therefore, you need to make them at a high resolution so that the resulting pictures will be sharp. The picture material selected here is the protagonist in the popular comic "Death". The author created the comic's LOGO here, and then added the black image of the protagonist. If you like other characters, you can also find relevant picture materials in advance to make them. A: In the newly created A4 file, first enter the English title "BLEACH" of the comic in any font, then "Delete the grid layer", and use CTRL+T to adjust it to a suitable posture as a reference for mouse drawing. B: Each of the 6 letters needs to be made separately, so a new layer must be created for each letter to ensure easy modification in the future. Find a piece of paper, use a pen to outline the letters of your own style, and then use the pen tool to outline a path based on the letters you scribbled. Save the path for later modification. Ctrl+Enter converts it into a selection and fills it with black. In order to highlight the sword style , so part of the letters should be removed. (Note: Each letter cannot be made with only one path. Complex letters generally require 2-3 paths to combine). As shown in Figure 2. |
C: Make the remaining letters in sequence. As shown in Figure 3-Figure 4. |
D: To make the shadow of the protagonist, find a comic picture and use a pen to outline the path according to the picture. In order to facilitate the modification, the author uses 4 pen paths. Then CTRL+ENTER converts it into a selection, fills it with black, and pays attention to saving the path. As shown in Figure 5. |
E: Expand all the picture files, adjust them to appropriate angles and positions, add appropriate decorations and your favorite words, and the drawing part is complete. (How to design to the best position, you can use a pen to scribble on the paper in advance, and then refer to the scribble to determine the combination position) as shown in Figure 6. |
3. Printing and printing process. A: Prepare thermal printing paper. Generally, thermal transfer paper can be purchased in computer supplies stores. It is recommended to use foreign brands, as the printing quality will be better. When printing pictures, be sure to print on the "rough side" of the thermal transfer paper. B: Printer settings. Select the paper type as "Photo Quality Inkjet Paper", and in the "Quality Type" select the print quality as "Photo", 360dpi. Because the author is using "light-colored thermal transfer paper", be sure to set it to "mirror" when printing. If it is "dark printing paper", mirroring is not required. C: After printing the personalized pattern, use scissors to cut the image along its edge (about one centimeter away from the pattern). D: Preheat the iron to 200 degrees (turn off the air jet function!) Lay the T-shirt flat on the ironing board, and iron it with the preheated iron to ensure there are no wrinkles, and print on the heat transfer paper Place the patterned side in a suitable position on the T-shirt, use transparent tape to fix it to prevent it from moving when heated, and then cover it with a layer of towel for heat insulation. (Towels must be ironed beforehand). E: Because the pattern I made is horizontal, start from the top corner of the pattern, use the widest part of the electric iron to slowly move from left to right on the heat transfer paper, and the force should be even; the process takes about half a minute. , be careful not to leave the iron in one place for too long! Then start in the middle of the pattern and repeat the process from left to right; finally, repeat the process starting from the bottom corner; F: Finally, iron the entire pattern around to reinforce the color! Turn off the iron, let it cool for 1 minute and then peel off the top layer of paper. Now you have a personalized T-shirt made by yourself! Four: Summary part. Below are related anime T-shirts made by the author, hoping to give you some inspiration! |
