This tutorial aims to guide you to create an icon similar to Adobe style. In fact, many software today are using this style of icon. Although it does not look very perfect, it is still a good style relatively speaking.
Let’s take a look at the renderings first:
Step 1) First create a new file with a standard canvas size of 120 × 120 PX.
Step 2) Delete the background layer and set a new layer. Add the background to white.
Step 3) Open the Wed2.0 style. If you don’t have it, you can download a set from MY486 and choose a style you like.
Step 4) Make some detailed adjustments, the most important being the bevel and embossing and brightness adjustments. For details, you can click on the picture below for reference.
Step 5) Add the text you need, making sure to choose an appropriate font.
Step 6) Adjust the size of the font, making sure to leave a certain amount of space up, down, left, and right.
Step 7) Connect the font and image layers.
Step 8) Resize the image, reduce the left and top edges by 2 px, and the right and bottom edges by 8 px, and add a drop shadow.
Step 9) Add a new layer at the bottom of the image, add a white background, and then add a suitable Wed 2.0 style as the background.
Step 10) Now you’re done, let’s compare and see who of us does better?
