Let’s take a look at the final effect:
Okay, let's start making:
1. Open a landscape photo. Use the burn tool to darken all the hills in the landscape so that we can place the architectural image here later.
The result looks like this:
2. Drag the cityscape photo into the current image. Resize it and put it in the right place. You can also place it wherever you like. The result looks like this:
3. Duplicate the "City" layer, then use the "CTRL+T" Free Transform command to flip it horizontally and adjust the size and position.
4. Next we use the planet’s brush to create a new layer. Use a paintbrush to add some planets in the sky. The result looks like this:
5. Create a new layer and go to Image-Apply Image (use the default settings). Then execute Filter-Render-Lighting Effects
The result looks like this:
6. Now open the Image-Adjustment-Color Balance command, set the midtones value to +46 +11 +13, then click on the highlights and set the value to +26 +16 -7. Of course, you can also set other values to experience different effects. As shown below:
7. Duplicate the upper layer, and then add a Gradient Map adjustment layer (Image-Adjustments-Gradient Map). Set the gradient color of the gradient map layer to purple and orange, then set the layer blending mode to Soft Light and the layer opacity to 50%. Similarly add a Gradient Map adjustment layer, this time set the gradient color of the Gradient Map layer to white and black, then set the layer blending mode to darken and the layer opacity to 20%.
The result looks like this:
8. Duplicate the above layer and execute the Execute Image - Apply Image (Use Default Settings) command. After executing Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur, set the layer blending mode to Soft Light. The setting results are as follows:
9. Now execute Image-Adjustment-Curves and select the RGB channel in the Curves command to adjust. (The curve settings in PS 3 are somewhat different from those in previous PS, but the difference is not significant) The adjusted results are as follows:
10. Use the sharpen command (Filter - Sharpen - Sharpen) on the line surface to increase the detail and contrast of the image, and then set the opacity of the image to 30%.
11. Finally, use the curve command to make slight adjustments. The settings are as follows:
The final effect is as shown below. I hope this tutorial will be helpful to you. Remember, don't be bound by traditional design concepts. Only by breaking through and daring to innovate can you create unique works of your own personal style, FREE Style.
