Introduction: This example is a series of tutorials for Photoshop beginners. Today we will learn the single row and single column selection tool, which will be helpful for novice friends to master the basic tools of PS.
There are two special tools in the selection tool group, namely [Single Row Selection Tool] and [Single Column Selection Tool]. Use them to click on the image, and a canvas with a height of 1 pixel and a width of 1 pixel will be created in the corresponding place. A selection with a width of 1 pixel (single row selection tool) or a selection with a height equal to the height of the canvas and a width of 1 pixel (single column selection tool). As shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.
In order to let everyone see it more clearly, I enlarged the screenshot. What are these two tools used for? Here are a few examples:
1. Create the drawing effect:
1. We open an image, create a new blank layer on it, take the single line selection tool, and click on the top of the blank layer. At this time, we create a selection with a height of 1 pixel and the same width as the canvas. Set the foreground color to black. , Alt+Delete to fill.
2 After Ctrl+j copies a layer, hold down the Ctrl key, click the thumbnail of the copied layer to load the selection, Ctrl+T to freely transform, and press the down key more than 10 times to confirm. (The specific amount of knocking depends on the screen resolution, just increase the distance by 1-1.5 times)
3 Don’t cancel the selection, hold down the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys at the same time, and hit the T key to copy
If you still find it troublesome, you can cancel the selection when you hit 1/3 or 1/2 of the entire screen, merge layer 1 and the copy, Ctrl+J to copy one layer, Ctrl+T to move down, and merge it with the bottom of layer 1 Align (can be zoomed in for observation), then merge, then copy, and then move until it fills the entire screen. Finally merge into layer 1 and lower the opacity to around 50%.
2. Create special effects:
1. Cut out the characters first. For the cutout method, please refer to the relevant tutorials in this forum, and I won’t go into details here.
