This tutorial introduces how to colorize golden yellow photos. The main thing is to use the channel multiple times to select the required color. In Lab mode, it is easy to get the warm color effect through the channel, and then use the mask to select the required part, and then adjust the overall color and modify the details.

1. Open the original image, press Ctrl + J to copy the background layer, then select the menu: Image > Mode > Lab Color, select Unjoined, then click the channel panel, select the b channel, press Ctrl + A to select all, and press Ctrl + C to copy, click channel a, press Ctrl + V to paste, return to the layer panel, select the menu: Image > Mode > RGB Color, select Unmerge, the effect is as shown in Figure 1.

2. Create a hue/saturation adjustment layer. The parameter settings are as shown in Figure 2, and the effect is as shown in Figure 3.

3. Duplicate the background layer, press Ctrl + Shift + ] to move it to the top of the layer, then click on the channel panel, select the green channel, press Ctrl + A to select all, press Ctrl + C to copy, click on the blue channel , press Ctrl + V to paste, return to the layer panel, the effect is as shown in Figure 4, then add a layer mask, and use a black brush to erase the grassy areas, as shown in Figure 5.

4. Create a hue/saturation adjustment layer. Set the parameters as shown in Figures 6 and 7. After confirming, use a black brush to erase the areas with grass. The effect is as shown in Figure 8.

5. Create a new layer, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer, execute: Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, the value is 6, after confirmation, change the layer blending mode to "Overlay", the layer will not Change the transparency to: 70%, add a layer mask and use a black brush to erase the character part, the effect is as shown in Figure 9.

6. Create a brightness/contrast adjustment layer. Set the parameters as shown in Figure 10. After confirming, only keep the grassy part and erase the rest with a black brush. The effect is as shown in Figure 11.
