Tools used: action panel, color correction commands, batch processing commands
Record actions and keep the operation process
In the action panel, we can record all the operations we have done on the image. When we encounter the same operation in the future, we can go directly to the action panel, play the action, and let the computer automatically repeat the work we did before.
The action panel is not omnipotent, and some operations cannot be recorded, such as very flexible operations such as brush painting. When we record actions, we should use menus and shortcut keys as much as possible. When we reduce the size of the image later, it will be easier to succeed using the percentage method. Because the size of each picture may be different, but if the length and width are reduced to the same percentage, it is easy to unify.
1: Use the menu "Window" - "Action" to open the action window. Its default shortcut key is Alt+F9. We can see that in this window, there are already default actions that come with Photoshop CS3. We will make a new action for later batch processing.
2: Use the Open command in the File menu to open a picture. We use this picture to create actions.
3: As shown in Figure 1, click New in the action panel (marked 1), and the new action dialog box (marked 2) will pop up. In this dialog box, the name refers to the name of the created action. We You can give it a name so you can find it in the action panel next time you use the action. Group refers to which action group the action is placed in. We can organize different types of actions into different groups to facilitate summary and search. Below, we can assign a function key to this action. When we want to use it in the future, we can call it directly with the function key. We can also assign a color to the action to make it easier to find the action quickly in the action panel.
4: Give this action a name, call it "zoom out". For other defaults, click "Record".
5: You can see that the "Start Recording" button (marked at 1) turns red, and the operations we do will be recorded. Because we are batch processing a large number of photos, we need to use a color correction method that can take into account the overall situation. Use the "Image" - "Adjustment" - "Auto Levels" command (Shift+Ctrl+L) to adjust the light and dark of the image. Automatically pull apart. When batch processing is performed in the future, the computer will automatically perform automatic color level commands on each picture. As you can see, in the action panel, the "color scale" operation will appear, which means that the action panel has recorded an operation.
6: Use the "Image" - "Image Size" command to reduce the image size. Set the unit to percentage (shown at mark 2), keep the "Constrain Proportion" option, and set the width to 20. Because of the constraint proportion, the height is automatically set to 20. Click OK and we will reduce the length and width of the image to one-fifth of its original size. Click the "Stop Play/Record" button (marked 3) to end the recording of the action.
