Someone asked how to turn a picture into a 1-inch 8-frame action. I’ll explain it in detail here. I hope other friends can also learn from the experience so that they won’t have to worry about their movements in the future! It is common to see a group of 8 one-inch photos on a 5-inch photo. How to convert such a photo set from any picture?
First understand:
The size of a 1-inch photo is 2.5*3.5cm 413*295px 300ppi. If you want to make a combination of 8 1-inch photos, and follow the theory of 4 horizontal and 2 vertical, you need to have a background image with a minimum size of 1180*826px. Here, add the bleed Taking into account the border and adding 3mm, a background image with a size of 1204*838 is required.
Okay, now that the theory is over, let’s talk about the process:
1. Click the action panel, create a new action, and record the action.
2. The following is the production process. One thing you need to pay attention to when recording is "must simplify the idea as much as possible". Before you record, try to simplify the steps to the minimum.
Import a picture at will. The size should preferably be larger than a 1-inch photo to avoid distortion caused by enlarging small pieces.
The following is a method to turn any picture into a standard 300ppi one-inch photo, please keep it in mind!
First cancel the constrained proportion, be sure to pay attention to this step. Then follow steps 2, 3, and 4, and the pixel value of the photo will automatically become 413*295px.
This is the modified picture we get
Then what we need to do is to enlarge the image size. This step reflects the "1204*838 background image" mentioned earlier. Double-click the background layer to unlock it, create a new layer, place the new transparent layer at the bottom of the layer group, and then change the "Canvas Size" to 1204*838.
Put it on the layer until you can see that the display level of the ruler is 1mm, not px! , (about 700% or higher, be careful with your eyes), draw the reference wire, a total of 16 sizes as shown.
After the most complicated step is completed, it is to copy the layer. Click CTRL+J on the photo layer 7 times. Eight 1-inch photos are OK! Then use the adsorption function of the guide lines to move each layer of your photos to the appropriate position, being careful not to exceed the guide lines. When moving the last photo, give yourself some space.
Now that a 5-inch 300ppi picture is done, remember to stop your actions first! Then open other pictures to experiment and test the integrity of the action.
The step-by-step cutting method has not been developed because the source films are different. Sometimes adding cutting pieces may cause errors in the whole movement. So do the cutting first!
Attached is the method: first scale the width of the film proportionally to 295 to keep the height of the film above 413, then set the cropping tool to the value of 295*413 & 300ppi, and then use the cropping tool to cut it. Then use action playback to ensure a 100% success rate for the film~!
The bleeding setting can be set according to the actual situation. Careful friends can search the size of the inch film online. They will definitely see that the size of the 5-inch film is expanded based on a low value. This is the position reserved for bleeding. If you feel that the bleed is small when cutting the piece later, you can appropriately enlarge the size of the bleed.
In the future, if you encounter the problem of changing 1 inch to 8 pictures, just tap and play OK.
