In this example, Lin Qizhe will lead you to draw a beautiful black crystal ball. Although it is said to be "drawing", the operation process is actually very simple, and enthusiasts with a certain PS foundation can complete it. Let’s take a look at the final effect:
Step 1: Create a new file, named [Crystal Ball], with a size of 600×600 pixels. Use the [Elliptical Marquee Tool] to draw a perfect circle, click the [Create New Layer] button below the layer palette, create a new layer, name it [Sphere], confirm that the foreground color is black, and press the [Alt+Del] keys Fill the selection, the effect is as follows:
Step 2: Create a new layer, name it [Highlight 1], and use the [Elliptical Marquee Tool] to draw a selection as shown below.
Step 3: Select the [Gradient Tool]. The gradient method is a linear gradient from white to transparent. Draw a gradient from top to bottom as shown in the figure below.
Step 4: Use the [Elliptical Marquee Tool] to draw two "small elliptical" selections as shown in the picture below, and fill them with white. The effect is as shown in the picture below. (Lin Qi Zhe said: It is best to create a separate layer for each "ellipse", so that if there is a problem with one layer, it can be deleted directly without affecting other layers)
Step 5: Create a new layer, name it [Highlight 2], and use the [Elliptical Marquee Tool] to draw a selection as shown in the picture below.
Step 6: Select the [Gradient Tool]. The gradient method is still a linear gradient from white to transparent. Draw a gradient from the lower right to the upper left as shown in the figure below.
