SEO has been popular for a long time. I believe many people with two to three years of SEO experience will find a problem: SEO has encountered a bottleneck. Whether it’s your own website or your client’s website. After the website has been in operation for half a year or a year, I find that the traffic cannot increase. No matter how I try to increase the traffic, it just cannot increase. It stays within a certain range and feels like it cannot break through. Maybe you need an expert or a better SEO consultant to make a diagnosis. Where does the problem occur? I think it is an SEO bottleneck. Why is it encountering such a bottleneck?
The main reason is that the initial work was not done well and a relatively systematic process was not followed. Let’s first look at a general SEO process:
1. Competitor research and analysis
2. Core keyword analysis
3. Keyword analysis collection and keyword relationship assignment
4. Develop website structure
5. Fine-tuning, tracking, and data analysis
Let’s talk about these five steps. Many webmasters start from the fourth step. For keyword analysis, they just find a tool to dig out the core keywords casually. Little competitor analysis was done.
I asked a friend how you operate a new website when you start it. He told me that it is to write tags, put H1 if it should be put, and the links in the site, nofollow those that should be nofollowed, and internal links. There must be cascading, all analysis and writing of title, keyWord, description and so on. I said this step is a framework, was it not done before?
Everyone knows what bottlenecks there are after doing this. One is that at a certain point, you will find that the keywords seem to be gone. The keywords that should be done have been completed, and you don’t know what keywords you are working on. Then you can use the keyword tool at this time. After digging around, I found that many of the keywords were actually ones that I had already done. It was actually difficult to find out those keywords that I had not done yet. At this time, when updating the website, I don’t know what keywords to use, and then I collect other people’s keywords, and a vicious cycle begins. Finally, the content on my own site is duplicated.
Suggestion: Do a keyword analysis before starting the website. Generally, 10,000 to 3,000 keywords can be analyzed for an industry, and this number is estimated to be around 5,000 that are closer to your industry. Of course, what I am talking about is In a single industry, I operate roughly this number. Many webmasters fail to do this step well. They optimize their websites and analyze keywords at the same time. Then they feel that they have also done this keyword and that keyword. So what? How can it be such a "mess"? .
Another thing I want to tell you is that once you have completed the keyword analysis step, the keyword optimization plan will come out, and you will not encounter the point where there is no keyword optimization. In this way, the website can always keep new keywords coming in. The increase in traffic will not be a problem.
The second is that you don’t understand your competitors. You don’t do detailed industry analysis and competitor analysis before building your website. Let me take PR as an example; if a mall in an industry has a PR of 6 or 7, it is difficult to surpass it, let alone 8. The PR of many navigation sites is very high. If you want to enter the navigation site They are starting to do something more detailed and avoid these famous navigation sites. In addition to analyzing the weight of the opponent's website, it is also important to look at the opponent's external links, because the internal links are easier to see. Analysis of the homepage, especially the core keywords, is very important. Don't wait to find that other people's keywords are always ranked higher than yours. In the front, I have no choice but to analyze the opponent's external links. The result is always second best, and the ranking is always behind others.
Suggestion: Webmasters should not start businesses in industries that they do not understand, do not conduct sufficient market analysis, and do not easily intervene in detailed competitor analysis.
I think SEOER must do these two steps well. As the saying goes: sharpen your sword before cutting wood, and being fully prepared is a good way to avoid encountering traffic bottlenecks.
