When doing SEO website optimization, if an article wants to be ranked (excluding traffic brushing, stacking, and black hat techniques), the most basic factors are:
1. Title
2. description
3. Article quality
4. Internal links
5. External links
Seoers all know that most search engines now do not include keyWords in the ranking conditions. They only exist as an element of a page, and their value is only a reference for search engines. Therefore, it is not listed among the basic factors here. In fact, I personally think keywords are still dispensable, but in the current "Baidu Statistics" background SEO optimization check function, if the page does not contain keywords, points will be deducted... It is recommended that you still add them (I am more pursuing perfection) . As for external links, we won’t talk about them today. This is not the topic of today’s sharing.
Let’s talk about some of my recent feelings about the optimization of “title” and “description”.
A little over a week ago I made changes to an old domain name site that was nearly 2 years old (for experimental purposes only). Changes include the website’s “title”, “keywords”, “description”, “internal link anchor text” and other details. The number of related domains from Baidu domain on this site is about 200, the site value does not exceed 10, and the entire site is a dynamic page. The HTML page code is extremely messy, which can be said to be structurally unfriendly to search engines. In addition, there are no high-quality backlinks, the snapshot is basically not updated, there is no keyword ranking, and the traffic is almost 0.
The first thing to do:
1. Check the relevant data of sites in the same industry: including domain name age, inclusion status of various search engines, PR value, Baidu related domain and weight value, website keyword deployment, long-tail keyword distribution, etc.
2. Based on the advantage of the age of your own website domain name, identify the breakthrough point, deploy long keywords that are the opponent's weaknesses, and avoid keywords with fierce competition (bidding + words with many related results).
3. Rewrite the internal link anchor text of the content page on the site (the content is 100% original, relevant + the quality of the article is very high. The previous titles were written casually, with A03XXX or other meaningless letters plus numbers or Chinese character type. )
4. Redeploy the H tag.
5. Reasonable use of nofollow tags throughout the site.
6. Rewrite the "title", "description" and "keywords" of all pages.
In addition to the page structure, other details have been completely new. A week later, that is, this morning, 3 of the 5 keywords (1+1 type) entered the Baidu homepage, all in the top 3 positions (one first, one second, and one third). The other two (1+1+1 type) keywords enter the first two pages, both within 15 characters.
Of course, although these words are not super popular words, they are also words with fierce competition in the industry. Most of them are words with higher meaning. Among them, I personally think the most important ones are "title" and "description". The description is described around the title, taking into account Baidu's word segmentation, the prominence of key keywords, and the relevance and matching degree of the content in the title and description (I did not take the keyword density into consideration at all, because the content High readability and high originality).
After all, today is only the first day, and I will continue to follow up and analyze it. Of course, it is essential to develop certain high-quality external links for the main keywords.
I don’t know if I went off topic in this article... Well, nevermind, I’ve written so much anyway. It’s all about sharing, isn’t it?
My ultimate purpose in writing this article is to say: "If the website has a history of many years and the ranking is not ideal (of course, this is also a method to exclude black hats), you can consider some targeted internal modifications. "Maybe there will be new surprises!
