The fruit drawing process is not complicated. The most important thing is to make adequate preparations in advance. It is best to find some relevant physical pictures for reference to find out the composition of highlights and shadows. Then slowly render the texture.
final effect
1. Create a new document with 1024 * 768 pixels and select white as the background. Let’s make the main part of the fruit first. The effect we need to complete is as shown below.
<Picture 1> 2. Create a new group, use a pen to outline the main body of the fruit, convert it to a selection and add a layer mask to the group.
<Figure 2>
3. Create a new layer in the group and fill it with dark red: #AE1D30. The effect is as shown below.
<Figure 3>
4. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the dark selection on the right, feather it by 25 pixels and fill it with a red color slightly darker than the background color: #870E26.
<Picture 4> 5. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the dark selection on the right edge, feather it by 15 pixels and fill it with a darker dark red.
<Figure 5>
6. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the dark selection on the left, feather it by 25 pixels and fill it with dark red.
<Figure 6>
7. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the dark selection at the bottom, feather it by 20 pixels and fill it with dark red.
<Figure 7>
8. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the reflective selection on the right edge, feather it by 10 pixels and fill it with red.
<Picture 8> 9. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the top highlight selection, feather it by 15 pixels and fill it with red.
<Figure 9>
10. Use a pen to outline the reflective selection on the left edge, feather it by 10 pixels and fill it with light red: #CE9785.
<Figure 10>
11. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the left edge highlight selection, feather 5 pixels and fill it with the same color as above. Change the blending mode to "Color Dodge" and appropriately reduce the layer opacity. The effect is as shown below.
<Figure 11>
12. Create a new layer and use the same method to make the top reflective selection, as shown in Figures 12 and 13.
<Figure 12>
<Picture 13> 13. Create a new layer and use the same method to create the highlight part in the middle, as shown in Figures 14 and 15.

14. Call up the main fruit outline selection, create a new group, and then add a layer mask to the group, as shown below.
<Figure 16>
15. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the selection shown in Figure 17, feather it by 5 pixels and then apply the radial gradient shown in Figure 18.
