Source: Photo Processing Network Author: Sanmao The principle of color cast picture repair is relatively simple. If the picture is warmer, we need to add cold colors to balance it. During the specific operation, the most important thing is to find the average color value of the color cast picture. This can be obtained directly by using the average in blur. Then invert the averaged color, and then appropriately change the blending mode and opacity to quickly fix the color cast of the image. You can then fine-tune the color and light and shade later.

1. Let’s first test the original information of this photo: R: 148 G: 55 B: 11.
2. Duplicate the background layer and execute: Filter > Blur > Average. After doing the blur "average", let's test the photo color information: R: 111 G: 40 B: 11.
The comparison shows that after the R and G colors are "averaged", there are slightly more R (red) and G (green) than the points we just tested, but B (blue) has not changed. Explain that the "average" color is correct.
3. After finding the average point, we can then add inverse colors other than magenta. How to get its inverse color? Image/Adjustment/Invert, now the photo information becomes: R: 144 G: 215 B: 244. It can be seen that after the inversion, the green and blue information data of the channel have come up, that is to say, the green and blue channels As the color increases, the magenta color will be "suppressed".
4. What we need to do now is to let PS perform automatic mixing. We select the layer mode "Color". The photo is bluish, so it is easy to handle. Lower the layer mixing opacity. When the opacity is reduced to 45%, it feels more suitable.
In addition, the opacity of this layer should be adjusted according to the situation. That is to say, if you add a curve to this layer to brighten it, and you feel that the color is too much or too short after brightening, you can adjust the opacity of the inverse layer below. Transparency until it feels right.
5. I thought the picture was a bit dark, so I went to Image/Adjustment/Tone Equalization, and the image suddenly became brighter, and the color was basically about the same.
6. Let’s debug the adjusted picture again, R: 233 G: 185 B: 172. The color of the photo basically conforms to the color rules. If you feel there is a slight color cast, you can fine-tune it again. No fine-tuning is done here.
