For web page creators, the most cumbersome thing may be to add links to pictures or text on the page. If the page contains a lot of content, the work done can only be described as horrific. I remember a few days ago, the author made 300 pictures and corresponding links for a client in a short period of time. It happens to be a good example of the combination of Dreamweaver and Fireworks. Let's learn how to automatically create many links and process images.
First start Dreamweaver. After setting up the site, select Command>Create Web Photo Album to open Create Web Photo Album.
Then enter the name of the album in the text input box after Photo Album Title. We recommend that you enter English letters instead of Chinese characters when entering text here, because after entering Chinese characters, they will not be displayed properly in the editing area of Dreamweaver. Enter a subtitle or other title after Subheading Info and Other Info, and enter "Photo" after Photo Album Title.
Next, select the directory where the target image is located in the "Browse" button behind the Source Images Folder, then click the "Save" button, and select the Boats directory here.
Click the "Browser" button after the Destination Folder and select the directory where the processed files are located. Generally, we need to select the directory where our own site is located (in this case, our site directory is the target image directory Boats), and then click " Open" button.
Select the image size processed by Fireworks in the drop-down list after Thumbnail Size.
Select the number of images per row after Columns, select the compression format of the index image in the drop-down list after Thumbnail Format, and select the compression format of the original image in the drop-down list after Photo Format.
Leave the check mark in the Create Navigation Page for Each Photo radio button unchecked. Its function is whether to create an index page for all pictures. If this item is checked, when browsing the picture, each picture page will have links forward, backward, or back to the main page; if this item is not checked, there will be no such links. You can decide according to your own needs when choosing.
After completing the above work, click the "OK" button, then Fireworks will start (Fireworks must be installed on the machine), and a window will appear in the Fireworks window. This is the progress of image processing in Fireworks.
Return to the Dreamweaver workspace, press the F12 key on the keyboard, test the page, and see the effect, as shown in Figure 5. It only takes two minutes to complete so many links. Isn’t it easy?
Clicking on the picture will automatically jump to the enlarged picture, which is the page of the original picture.
