When the new site was launched, Baidu inclusions exceeded 20,000, with an inclusion rate of 80%, and daily Baidu traffic was nearly 2,000. I am flattered by this increase in weight. However, I have recently discovered that content is published instantly, Baidu traffic sources have plummeted by 60%, and many long-tail keyword rankings cannot be found. This forced me to re-understand the relationship between website inclusion and site weight.
I have always believed that the collection rate, collection speed, and snapshot time are the specific manifestations of SE weight. If these indices are normal, the weight should not be that low. But currently, many sites are encountering the same problem as me. Based on these circumstances, I put forward some opinions and welcome corrections from the big guys so that we can make progress together.
1. The inclusion volume and inclusion rate are measures of the frequency of site content updates, and content updates are only part of the weight performance. There are many factors that affect inclusion, such as site architecture, access speed, and content quality. Of course, site weight will in turn affect inclusion. Basically, the content on the homepage of my site will be included, but when it comes to the column list page, spiders basically don't care. Based on this situation, I considered redesigning the homepage, subdividing it into multiple columns, minimizing the number of column levels on the site, and directing spiders to the list page to increase inclusion.
2. Once included, it will also be deleted. What kind of content will be deleted? Duplicate, keyword-stuffed pages. The search engine content matching process can take days or even weeks to complete. The collected content may or may not be released during this period. But the temporary second-hand collection does not mean anything. The era of copy-and-paste webmasters has passed. Website content should at least be pseudo-original, or be processed and organized through topic and column reorganization, so that old wine is replaced with new bottles. This will prevent the included pages from being deleted by search engines.
3. Inclusion does not equal traffic, stability is the weight. Whether it is popular keywords or long-tail keywords, stability is the key. Don't be impetuous or act too hastily. Do the basics well and establish weight barriers. Many sites with millions of indexes have very little traffic. Inclusion does not represent traffic, it is also related to the type of site. The information category is definitely more included, and the product category is definitely less included. This is not comparable because the income model may be different.
4. Whether it is inclusion or traffic, everything should return to the essence of things. The website is traffic, and traffic is cash. To sell information to sell traffic and to sell products must be converted into cash. No matter what the site is, we all reach the same goal through different routes. The derivation process from the results depends on which path you choose. Therefore, don’t place too much emphasis on inclusion, the key is the results.
Recently, many webmasters around me have also been affected by the downgrade of their friend links. Here is a suggestion. If it is not an industry site and you don’t have much time to pay attention to the site, it is recommended to cancel the friendly link template. This can reduce the instability of the weight of new sites and minimize the impact of co-location caused by penalization of friendly link sites. After a long period of operation, a large number of natural external links can still make up for the lack of friendly links.
Website weight is like a complex ecosystem, and inclusion is like water. It is impossible to live without water in the ecosystem, but the ecosystem is not just water. Only when the ecosystem is complete and orderly can the ecosystem function normally.
