The first thing I do at 8 o'clock every day is to see what changes Baidu has made, what updates are there for our website, etc. This time is also the most exciting moment. Through these years of practice and continuous exploration of SEO, I wrote down my understanding of the combination of SEO and various products in this industry.
1. I have been exposed to online marketing and online promotion since 2007. I have a deep understanding of the benefits that search engines bring to enterprise development, and I also strive to give myself a greater sense of accomplishment. In the past 5 years, I have become more and more aware that simple SEO and paying attention to search engine algorithms every day have become less and less meaningful. Nowadays, companies are becoming more and more competitive. SEO itself is not technical, and there is no sunflower manual. Use the simplest method to achieve the ultimate goal. It’s an industry myth.
2. Keywords are the primary topic for companies to consider when doing online promotion. Keywords and long-tail keywords are determined by analyzing customer search behavior. However, personal ability cannot analyze and extract keywords from the entire network. Years of experience are needed. and tools to complete the analysis and determination of long-tail keywords, which are also constantly changing.
3. What we use is a combination of bidding and SEO, and we choose different marketing and promotion methods according to different keywords. Some keywords must be bid, but some keywords can be optimized by themselves, saving costs and different positioning for the enterprise.
4. Now I have a clear feeling that SEO is no longer just SEO, but needs to be combined with products to integrate customer experience. Maybe one day search engines will no longer exist. Don’t we have our own? Do you have a customer base?
5. The role of external connections in network optimization will be weakened, and the experience and value of the site will become increasingly important.
To optimize a target keyword, you first need to understand the basic situation of the industry and competitors, and make a preliminary judgment on the difficulty and optimization time of optimizing this keyword. Generally, it is good if a person can receive 3 cases. Do not optimize a few cases at once. Out of ten websites, not even one was optimized, which in turn hurt my confidence. Personally, when I absolutely optimize a keyword, I usually look at the number of search results returned by the search keyword on Baidu. For our aerated concrete equipment, the number of returned keywords is about 2.3 million, which requires a lot of effort. After a lot of experience in optimizing, it takes 3 to 4 hours to optimize to the homepage. If the number of returned searches is hundreds of thousands, it tells us that this keyword is not competitive. If it reaches one million, it will be somewhat competitive. If it is tens of millions, then it will be For keywords that are relatively competitive, we have to act within our capabilities and determine how to slowly optimize from long-tail keywords to target keywords.
The number of results returned through search is only a reference condition for us to examine optimization. If we want to understand the competitiveness more accurately, the number and bid of the bidding ranking can better explain the situation. This is to understand the basic situation of the industry. Next, we must also be aware of the competitors.
When I understand competitors' websites, I only look at the first 5 pages of Baidu and get a general understanding of the following relevant content of the website:
1. What is the website architecture? How big is it?
2. How many pages does the website have in total, and what are the main content display columns?
3. Is the content of the website purely original or pseudo-original?
4. Use webmaster tools to check the site age and inclusion, registration time, and PR value?
5. What are the keyword selection and keyword density for titile main optimization, and where do they appear?
6. Is there any pattern that can be found based on my own sensitivity to the Internet?
7. Check where external links mainly come from. Since Yahoo canceled external link checking, I haven’t found a better tool until now. I hope someone can share a better tool. It seems that it comes from friendly links, anchor text, spam links or forum links... If it is a forum link, etc., the competition will be smaller. If it is more news, we have to create topics. What I advocate is to use the simplest and most original ones. If you use this method to achieve the ultimate goal, you can create industry legends.
